Episode 11 - 25 Years of NDH!
December 17, 2010 01:06 PM PST
I'm finally back in the game with a mix for the birthday boy!
► AN-2 - Lazy Sun

Inspired by Jimpster's ridiculously good set nearly a month ago at Southport, I decided to lay down a similar style of mix to relive the moments. Some of the tunes he played are here including the techy sounding E79 by Kink and Henrik's crackerjack remix of Omar's Feeling You. Whether you're cruising in the car, chilling in the garden or getting ready to go out I think it works for all... Well, I enjoyed doing it anyway! Peace. ► Atjazz - I Forgot You feat. Clyde (Nomumbah remix)

Southport here we come! Rumours that this is the last ever one... Let's hope not. A mix to get you in the mood for the coach journey, the chalet parties, the Powerhouse, the live acts, the drink, the good times, the fun and games and the pot noodles! ► Nina Simone - Here Comes The Sun (Francois K remix)

Spring is here, along with some great weather (that miserable winter seems so long ago now!). So I decided to come with something a bit different... A mixture of dubstep and miscellaneous tunes to put a spring in your step. Joy Orbison features on a few tracks (I think it's because his tunes remind me a bit of my UK Garage days) and there are some of my favourite upbeat tunes at the moment mixed in between. If I get a good response expect some similar musical experimenting for the future. ► Burial - Archangel

One for the real deep house heads and sort of reflective of my mood at the moment. It's still cold out there!
► Bah Samba - Em Bo La

An uplifting mix in celebration of the main man Nicao! Been a good friend for many a year and a great influence on a lot of the music I like and play. OK so the mixing is really not that great but it was done on the spur of the moment and with love and that's all that matters really... Right?! Enjoy. ► Manuel Tur & DPlay - Deviate

My first attempt at a Drum & Bass mix so be gentle! After a few requests and a lot of dilly dallying I decided to finally dust down a few records in the DnB box and give them a spin. I tried to pick out a variety of stuff and piece it together in a vague resemblance of a continuous mix but like I said, I really am not much of a Drum n Bass DJ! Anyway I got to play some of my favourite 176 bpm tunes so it wasn't a total disaster. ► D Bridge - Creatures of Habit

A new mix straight from my new location in East London, hence the name! There is a bit of everything on here. I picked a few tunes that had some how eluded previous mixes and needed to be given some love! Hope you enjoy it... My mixes will be appearing more frequently from now on, I promise.

A much deeper mix to really get yourself immersed in to. I picked out some of my true deep house gems for a piece that is anything but average in its sound. Listen out for the message in track 8, which gave me the idea for the mix. ► Télépopmusik - Love Can Damage Your Health (Abicah Soul/Dennis Ferrer remix)

The lingering cold nights of winter are over. So I wanted to mix together some tunes to reflect the warmer and more vivacious sounds of deep and techy house. Something for a night out, perhaps. Enjoy! ► D'Julz - Sulo (Manuel Tur remix)

I always enjoy listening to good music, partcularly as a medium to reflect mood or circumstance. I have begun with the aspiration to soothe and relax you with this mixture of deep and soulful house from some of my favourite artists. It's a mix I have had in mind for quite some time. So kick back and enjoy the very first story of my new podcast! ► Afefe Iku - Mirror Dance (Yoruba Soul remix)
